Hello, Mr. Reid. I am Taher with you, Taher Al-Ajrami. I want to
speak with you about what for me I did yesterday. I got up from my
sleep (in) the morning at 6:00. I went to the airport. I arrived my
brother to the airport and after that returned to the house. I
straightened my hair and put on my new boots--I was happy in them.

After that, I rode in the bus. I arrived at the university at about 8:30.
I sat in the library a little bit. I read about half an hour. I went
my friend. I sat (coll.) with her some, I sat (msa) with her some.
We returned [to] our studies after a little. I had a lecture,
International Economic Relationships, with Dr.--his name is--Sa'd
Owadeia. We attended the lecture--it was from 2:00 until 4:00.

After the lecture I rode in the bus a second time--[my] work
is boring, Mr. Reid, this. I returned to Marj Al-Hamman.

I was fasting [during Ramadan]. I was very hungry that day.
I ate a lot, too. After that I went to the store (dukkaan),
store (supermarket) I mean. I smoked a cigarette. I drank a
Pepsi--not Coca Cola--Pepsi.

After that I returned to the house. I made qataif [a
dessert]. After that I slept a little. I went to play cards.
After that I watched an American movie on students in the
university. The film was nice, [it was] about evil and good.
And an evil girl after that died. And there was a girl her
name was Heatha.

I think, Mr. Reid, [that] universities you have in America
are a lot prettier that those we have. And the education is
prettier, and the girls are prettier, and the universities
themselves are prettier.

That is everthing I did yesterday. And today, I'm sitting
(ism faa'al) with you, Mr. Reid. And here we are recording,
and people are laughing at us and looking at us.

And I hope we spend the weekend good. And Merry Christmas
('id sa'iid) from now Mr. Reid.
