How We Name Our MP3 Files

We've done files from a textbook a little differently, but for the rest of the files:

All files starting with an "m" are in Modern Standard Arabic. All files starting with a "c" are in Jordanian Colloquial Arabic.

Typically, the next two characters of the file name are our codes for various speakers. Then the next three digits is the text number for that particular speaker in the order that we have created them.

The seventh slot in the file name is our code for the topic. For example, "y" is someone talking about what they did yesterday (or perhaps the day before that or even tomorrow), while "k" means that the file is a kid's story.

Finally, the eighth slot is for the overall quality of the text, on a scale from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest). This quality score is based on the quality of the recording and mp3 file, the quality of the speaker as a recorder, and the topic that is being talked about. We'd recommend listening to "5" files when you check things out.
